When you start your studies, you will be given your FAUcard which functions as your student ID card and library card and can be used to make cashless payments at cafeterias and restaurants, pay for copying and access certain buildings. It is free of charge.
🪪 What Is the FAUcard Used For?
- 🎓 Student ID card
- 📚 Library card (for borrowing books and accessing university libraries)
- 💳 Electronic wallet (for paying in university Mensen and cafeterias of the Studierendenwerk)
- 🖨️ Copy and printing card
- 🔐 Access card for certain university buildings and services
✅ Validation of Your FAUcard
When the FAUcard is issued for the first time, it is automatically validated.
For future semesters, however, you must validate it yourself at one of the validation machines on campus.
Please note: Without validation, the card is not valid as a student ID.
